Opening a small restaurant days before a pandemic was declared has brought about some unique challenges. While it is not required to call ahead to order, we recommend that you do as sometimes we run out of menu items, and on rare occasions, close early. Depending on what’s popular on any given day, we may sell out of certain entrees when dinner rolls around. Please know that Pete loves creating and serving you delicious well thought out dishes, but there’s only so much time in a day. Pete spends two days before opening prepping all items fresh for that week, then spends most nights after hours prepping those things needed for the next days’ orders.
Ensuring your safety and that of our small staff is equally as important as providing delicious, kind food. At Fare and Just Kitchen we are a team of only three. Pete is the chef and owner and does all food preparation and cooks every order. His son, Gabe handles all ordering, pick-up, and customer interactions, all with a smile. Naomi, a longtime former employee of Karma, preps and makes all smoothies, cold salads, and helps expedite orders.
We are a tightly knit gang and we ALWAYS wear masks and gloves. As a new business offering fully vegan and gluten-free cuisine to the Cape, Fare and Just, and its staff want to thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate through uncertain times and experience these growing pains.
